Welcome to our educational center. Hocus Pocus Tours is very excited to introduce our educational center. It's mission is the same of our tours, that being educating people about Salem’s diverse history. We specialize in elements of Salem’s history which often are left unexplored, Salem’s maritime, literary, architectural, and women’s history, as well as new a look at the Salem Witchcraft Hysteria of 1692. Our goal and hope is to provide first time visitors, as well as the seasoned veterans a place to go to where they can discover more of the unique background of this historic city by the sea.

The articles which will be appearing on these pages are written by our guides which have taken many visitors on countless tours over the years. It is very important to them that they are involved and are active in the field of local history. It is not enough merely to provide tours and regurgitate information, but rather to take an organic approach to Salem's history. Our guides are constantly putting their hands upon this ever changing genre, they are always researching not only new specifics about the Salem of long ago but also are creating new ways to look at and examine Salem's past. We make no claim that the following pages shall educate a person on all of Salem's intricacies and nuances, rather the coming is more of a medium to which it is our aspiration people will use to create their own individual opinions and ideas about Salem.
